I had an amazing opportunity to join a sprint team and collaborate with Lush to create a conceptual POS design aimed at enhancing their in-store customer experience.
​
Our design completely eliminates the traditional cash desk and replaces it with roaming tablets, allowing employees to check out customers directly on the sales floor. This shift enables employees to provide a more personalized and engaging shopping experience for Lush customers.
​
Lush places a strong emphasis on in-store customer connections. However, we also recognize that some customers, particularly introverted shoppers, may prefer minimal interaction during their visit. To accommodate this, we designed a mobile checkout option that allows customers to build their cart and complete their purchase through their mobile phones.
​
This reimagined shopping experience also supports the implementation of a display-only sales floor, creating a more open and spacious environment for customer interactions. Additionally, we introduced the concept of a pickup window where employees in the back can assemble orders for both employee-assisted and mobile sales, ensuring a seamless and efficient checkout process.
